How long should we warm compress my moms dogs spine before we give up?

live with my mom. She has a 12 year old pitbull with really bad arthritis im his spine. The vet instructed us to take a heating pad, put it on his back, and massage it for 15 mins twice a day. I did it this morning for him. I just got home, and my mom and her dog are asleep, and I'd rather not wake them up. On the other hand, I don't want to neglect him, and possibly cause him pain..

I had a Labrador Collie Cross that had this , he was in shit loads of pain $3,500 aud for the operation , and this was more that 20 years ago , I called out the vet coz I couldnt move him , and the vet put him down with a single painless shot , and took the body away for me..

By the way only 35% that if I shelled out that money that it would have worked , to put it in perspective the house then was worth 110 $aud k , its now $650 ,000 aud..

His time had come and I did not want by poor boy howling in pain , RIP Sevey we had some great times. Best to have the dog put down for sure , to be kind to him , otherwise he lingers on.

definitely don't wake it! wait til it wakes then obey doctor vet.

how long? until it dies of old age soon. dogs live 8-14 years.

personally i am cold toward pets and easy for me to end their suffering. but some people feel pets are part of family.

i suggest you tell the vet to kill it like put it to sleep because it is older ten years old anyway and end the suffering.
