How do you handle leaving your pets?

I'm going off to training soon and I won't be back for a long time and my cat I've had since I was 8 is getting old so I'm trying to cope with the fact I might not see her again and that I feel guilty for leaving her behind so I can go on with my career. I'd be leaving her with my parents but I know even though they'll take care of her it wouldn't be as much as I do.

Will your parents video chat? Cats are very smart. It will react. You can enjoy each other that way.

Remember you're more concerned about it than your cat is. Unlike dogs, cats really don't care about you and as long as she's fed with a warm place to sleep she'll be happy.

Cats love as much as dogs. If you didn't feed your dog it would eat you 9/10 just like a cat.

Also if a human was starving and all they had was their pet dog/cat we would eat them so can you blame them.
