The problem with humans , is we have an inability to self regulate , we ( as a group ) are than that stupid , we don't understand that we slowly kill ourselves with overeating and thinking processed foods are okey " once in a while " ( NEVER ) , and that brings us to fireworks , we are just completely unable to self regulate , because you will always get some idiot kid / teenager / adult , pushing boundaries , and performing in a very unsafe manner , look I loved crackers and fireworks. but it just doesn't work unless its purely to view , too many injured , too many killed , or scared for life.. It needs to be banned , and is a completely unsafe practice.

I wish your child well with his / her recovery.

No , but a good friend of mine did , he blew the top of his head off basically , he lost his hair in the center of his head and it burned the top layer of his skin off of his head , because the firework exploded before he could get away , he was rushed to the hospital and the top of his head looked like the bottom of a porcupine , with how the left over hair was sticking out , I use to have a picture of it lol , Luckily he is ok but that was some crazy shit to watch happen

My kid had burns to his upper and lower eyelids as well as his cornea (scary!) thankfully the doctor expects him to heal quickly with eye ointment.

Yes but my friends and i were shooting roman candles at each other and i have an almost unnoticeable scar on lower back. You have to realize this was the generation where parents needed to be reminded "Its 10:00. Do you know where your kids are?" The 80s were 🔥 !!!
