Is making friends as you get older out of the question?

Is it out of the question? For example, I’m a single mom of a teen and I’m no fan of babies, been there already! My mom friends are drunks or having MORE kids or doing drugs or having their kids taken away, or hanging off some mega toxic dude.. you get it.

It’s genuinely not appealing being around other moms.
Trying to make new mom friends is exhausting because they’re all about their husbands or their little kids, or their nails blah blah.
Like sheesh, is there an app for cool moms to hang with other cool moms of older teens?
Why’s this so difficult?

No, but is trickier. You might want to look for social groups centered around a specific shared interest; it'd let you meet more people, who'd hopefully be more like-minded.

Of course, I don't need to socialize with all of them, but the invites are always there.
