Why do some family members manipulate?

Its like a never ending story but some people become manipulative day by day to get their work done..

I don't know why they have to act so childish but at the same time I think that these are tactics made by them to get everything they need...

They will never get over it... and this makes me sick...

I do not have any living family members and my parents to my recollection never did, but I see it. One of my friends works really hard while her little sister still lives at home, is lazy, and does not even do her own dishes. Their mom guilts my friend, who moved from the parents' house nearly a decade ago, to go over after work and help clean and to help with the expenses.

Why? Because so far it has worked.

Some think their way of doing things is right and any other way is wrong. It's usually narrow minded people that think this way. They may also be trying to prevent you from being more successful than they are so they don't look bad.

Those I've experienced this from do it from a point of GREED. They feel they can pretend to have good will for me if it will get them my assets but am not easily fooled
