Is it impolite not to attend a Quinceañera?

I'm not very close with this girl, but she invited me to her Quinceañera in two days. I've been incredibly busy and I don't think I'll be able to attend. I'm not Hispanic and I have no clue about any customs. I'm not sure if it's rude not to attend. Is it okay if I just send a text saying I don't think I can make it and wish her a wonderful night?

At big parties, they might invite people who are in their social circle, but not their intimate social circle. Since they have not done any big favours for you, it's not super rude if you refuse the invitation. Maybe send a gift if it bothers you, does not have to be expensive. Some pop corn from Kernels is cheap and far more valuable than a dish that costs three times a much and is less flavourful. Take advantage of the foods here, a lot of very good stuff goes for low prices, like watermelon seeds, or dark chocolate, or home made hummus and vegetable dip etc...
