Because becoming a celebrity isn’t as great as most people believe it is. There is a lot of bullshit that goes on behind the scenes that really isn’t talked about. A lot of actors and actresses are pretty much signing their life away when they sign a contract , pretty much being controlled on what they can and can not do. On top of all the publicity they are receiving , to make them seem like they are these perfect people , when really they aren’t , why a lot of them turn to drugs an alcohol and get in trouble with the law , some celebrities feel like they are better than everyone else , because of the stardom they received , to make them think they are this absolutely amazing person , so they pretty much let it go to their heads that they are amazing. I met a bunch of celebrities and some were cool and some were complete assholes. So don’t believe everything you see on tv ,

It's because stars are both people AND products, but children haven't been alive long enough to develop a sense of self. So they get swayed and influenced by people who are trying to build the star as a product without giving any thought to who the star is as a person.

They grow up in the public eye and have pressure from a young age to perform and always look good and be skinny.

Lots of drugs in the industry and they’re offered it and also have all the money in the world to buy it.

Lots of them have been sexually harrassed or abused by people in the industry.

No privacy. It tied into the first point but they have no privscy and never had even as a child. They ateo outside the door without crazy people/fans running up to them or taking pictures/videos feom a distance.

They have everything and achieved everything so there are no dreams for the future.

If you look at the situation with Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon where some producer raped Drake Bell I can't remember his name. And Dan Schneider is making kids do disgusting fetish stuff that turns him. Dan Schneider is a creep.

And look at what's going on with P Diddy and the Hollywood stars raping people. They dangly careers and money over their heads and threaten kid stars and women with blackmail. P Diddy gets the key city from the mayor if they try to fight him back no one believes and they continue to get abused.

They grow up being told they are great and spoiled till they lose their childhood cuteness, and then are thrown away this yesterday's trash. Also, many get abused (like Danny Bonaduce) or molested. And most do not have parents like Bill Mumy (Will Robinson on  Lost in Space ), who's parents invested his earnings and set him up for life. Instead they had parents who squandered or stole all or most of it. (Jackie Coogan was the first).

Because having everyone follow you around and having no privacy messes a person up. Also, when in acting roles as adults, often they have romantic roles with other actors, and this makes having a normal healthy relationship impossible, so they end up turning to drugs to try to fill the void, then they get sick and die.
