This female cousin of his brother on his dad side. Not mom. My boyfriend call her cousin too. I thought they don't have no relation because these women on his brother dad side not his mom. And they got two different daddies.
It’s fine! She’s like a step cousin but calling her cousin is close enough.
A lot of people in step families think in those terms.
