My question would more be “What the hell happened to make you resort to the police?”


In a majority of cases, at least that I’m aware of, minors getting the cops called on them by their parents usually happens because it’s a teenager with some kind of mental instability. Like folks with BPD, or bi-polar disorder having severe episodes and the parents are just woefully unequipped to handle it. They think that authority will help but that can make an already delicate situation worse. I don’t blame them for feeling so helpless they have to call, parenting is hard, but that’s not always the best way to go about it. I wouldn’t know the best way to handle it either.
