My husband and I have taken on fairly traditional roles. He is the main (and for a while was the only) breadwinner, he handles most of the finances. I am the main caretaker role for our child and do more "homemaking" work, while he does more yard and "handyman" work.
Whenever I have met new people they sometimes assume my husband and I must have "traditional values" because of how we live—which we definitely do NOT. Then seem surprised that we live this way, as if it's "against our vaues"!
Do people not realize that you can like a role for YOURSELF without believing that it must also be forced onto EVERYBODY ELSE?

How is it a traditional value to choose whatever role I want?
Because it's a traditional role you chose for yourself. To be a traditional role as a wife and desire it is a traditional value. I've explained this 3 times hon, stop arguing
I said stop arguing.
I'm not I'm asking you to actually explain. You keep just repeating yourself. I'm asking you to explain instead of just repeating.
And I did explain it, you just keep trying to argue. I've been quite clear. So again, stop arguing with me. This isn't a debate, I'm just straight up telling you.
Like what values are you two and open couple with a pineapple
Values like that everyone should be able to choose their own roles in relationship, not be forced into it. Just because we like the roles traditional doesn't mean we think should go back to a time when that was mandatory.
