How important are Traditional Values to you?

Those are my values. I will be a wife that is responsible for household duties, and child care. I will be a wife that doesn't mind cooking and cleaning. I will be a housewife; not a career woman. Our home will be where my husband can come home relax and be comfortable with me pestering him to do this and to do that.

Furthermore, girls should be the gatekeeper of sex. Unlike what is portrayed in movies, they shouldn't be hopping in bed with a guy, almost before have dinner.

Tradition is peer pressure from dead people. Some are time-honored and meaningful, but “traditional values” is more often than not a code phrase for backwards religious zealots and other abusers.

Really do not know what traditional values actually are.

They seem to just be made up things from 1950’s Hollywood.

From what I’ve seen growing up, it was basically around keeping husband happy, not complaining when he spent the food money, clothes money for the kids etc on drinking with his mates.

Oh and being able to hit anyone he liked in his family.

Depends on what values we are talking about. Being faithful and stick with your choices really important. The fact that I should court as a guy not really. Because to many women aren't traditional for that to work anymore.

Very important. That's another reason I'm glad I don't have kids b/c this generation is too relaxed and the parents don't give a shit. They call discipline "abuse"? I am not mad at my mom or grandma for spanking us or giving us a "time out". Taught us some manners. Do kids today know how to properly set the table and fold a napkin? I doubt it. Proper greetings and hand shakes and symbols when you cross the streets.. respect. Kids today don't have that. At least not in the USA.

I think the most valuable “traditions” should be respect and communication. Those are timeless and will always see you through. The rest was an act and needed outgrowing.

I like some traditional values but find some inadequate.
I believe the nuclear family is important, I believe waiting until marriage to move in a have a physical relationship is good, I am against things like gay marriage and Abortion.
At the same time I don’t think all women need to be housewives, some women do but some don’t.

Traditions are a practice of yesterdays successes and failures. Since yesterday is long gone so are the failuers along with it. To allude yesterdays learnings and to cancell out its teachings , you now have nothing in preparation for tommorro's new teachings. A continuous mixture of yesterdays successes and tommorros teachings , navigation through life becomes easier.
