I have a half sister who has a 5 yrd old daughter. Practically her daughter is my niece as well the niece of my other sister and my brother. This half sister was a product of my dad infidelity many many years ago. An infidelity my mom suffered a lot when we were younger. Due to this issue we never really got to know in person this half sister, for obvious reasons. The time went by this half sister was older and my dad at some point in life, wanted our family to meet her for the first time, she never lived with us of course but with her mom, who died years later. We actually did that and at first it was a bit uncomfortable meeting her but the family managed to welcome her to our family as the years went by. We invited her to some family gatherings (not all) and for some family activities we took her to account to come, at the end she was the daughter of my dad and my mom kinda of treated her well too.
The problem with this half sister was she also needed to be supported $$$ by my dad so my dad had to split his work salary in 2 houses, still he managed to do it so. There was some issue with this half sister, money speaking, the family from her side or her mom side, always like to take advantage of my dad money, they were deadbeat family so they like to borrow moeny from my dad, for this or other reason and my dad always helped them unfortunately but they never pay him back. Fast forward 10 years ago, my dad passed away and he inherited each of her kids some amount of money, including my half sister. Due to poor money management on her part, my half sister spent all the money my dad inherited (which it was not so little money) that money very fast, she did not invest it wisely.
My half sister through the years had a boyfriend and even though she never got married, he ended up beign the father of my niece.
My half sister never worked and just maybe like 8 years ago found a job to earn her own money
