Do you believe my sister did the right thing?

My sister is married and obviously she lives with her husband in her house. From time to time my sister invites my mom when they go and grab coffee or lunch when my sister lieks to go out with mom, but my sister invites her the total amount of what she orders only when Im not there with them at the same gathering, otherwise my sister pays her half and I pay the other half if it is possible. My mom is an elder woman and she is retirend and snow she is at home. For many years when my mom used to work, she have a thing to buy gorceries and groceries even if things were not needed at home, just because she likes to shop. Other tiems of coruse she buy things that indeed were necessary as there were not soem groceries. My dad passed away almost 8 years ago so my dad left my mom with some pension she receives only one a month so home groceries she buys with the pension, me or my brother we bought the home groceries.

My sister even if she does nto earn a lot of money she has enough money as she always travel with a certain frequency overseas with her husband, she buys the latest cell phone, she and her husband likes to buy new things for her house, she attends concerts, eat out, etc They do live in a ncie home though, her hsuabnd is a family judge and lets say earns well, though they are not millionaire. But for my sister other things she complains she can't afford to buy or pay beaue it is very expensive, or she lacks of money.

Anyway today my sister took my mom out to have some coffee at some cafeteria as she did not want my mom to stay home alone cause I was not home the whole day, I had a previous committment. So my sister taking advantage she was going to buy groceries she came home and picked up mom to be with her and grab some meals after my sister grocery shopping. My mom remembered that at the house there were things that needed to be bought so asked my sister (her daughter) to buy some things. The things were not like the

whole home grocery list it was just soem things, like 5 things probably. So my mom asked my sister to buy her the things for the house.

My sister did not like much to buy those things for mom for the way she told me hours later when she mentioned me that "mom asked her to buy some things for the house". The things were like brocoli, bananas, kiwi, bread and maybe 2 more things and that was it. So my sister called me to tell me mom asked her to buy the things so my sister told me that she was

going to buy her the things but we have to pay her back later! I was like what? Pay her back? She could not buy the things mom asked and it was not like the whole monthly list, jsut a few things. She told me, later well mom had a few money on her own so she will pay part of it and I will pay her the other part, you dotn owe me nothing. But in the beginning my sister did want to collect the money for the groceries mom asked her.
