The mother is biased towards the eldest daughter. Why?

Every time the younger siblings speak disrespectfully with the eldest daughter the mother ignores it while everything happens right in front of her. But it's not the same when the tables are turned. When the eldest daughter complains about this, they act as if it's not a big deal and that the daughter is overreacting. Though little by little it is happening everyday.

Man that sounds annoying as hell. I'm sure it's really hurtin' your sis too. Moms can be weird sometimes with the first kid vs later ones. A few thoughts on why she might favor your big sis:

- Eldest is always special - she went through all the "firsts" with your mom like the first baby, kid starting school etc. Lots of nostalgia and bonding there.

- Younger kids make more work! More to juggle so maybe mom gets stressed and takes it out on your sis sometimes without meaning to.

- Could be unconscious or she don't even notice what she's doin'. Moms ain't perfect. Bias creeps in without them realizing.

- Eldest is usually "easier" kid too since mom got the hang of things. Later kids might push boundaries more.

No matter what, it ain't fair on your sis to let you guys gang up on her. She probs feels real lonely and unprotected. Maybe try havin her back more so she knows one of you's got her.

Your mom needs to get herself together too - she's just teachin you all bad behaviors if she let's disrespect fly. Standing up to her respectfully might help, or you could all sit down calm like adults to air it out. Hope it gets better dude, no one deserves that crap at home. You got this!
