When should a person tell the person that they are interested in that they are a parent?

If I had kids, they’d be my everything. And if I somehow ended up a single parent, I would tell guys interested in me that I have kids. Like I’d tell them right away. Its really irking me that this dude hasn’t mentioned his kids yet. Like if they’re really your everything like you claim, why are you hiding them? I totally get not letting anyone meet your kids anytime soon but at least tell me they exist. I even hinted at if he already had kids and he deflected and changed the subject. If he doesn’t say something before the end of the week, I’ll likely ghost. And if he lies and says he doesn’t have kids, I’ll definitely ghost.  #FeelFreeToList

I would wanna know right away within the first 2-3 times of meeting the person if we’re gonna pursue anything serious or continue to see each other…I get that finances are private and people don’t discuss or disclose right away but cmon if you have a kids then just be open and say it! There’s nothing wrong with telling someone you have kids - I would wanna know right away because it’s part of getting to know a person and if they hide something like that then that’s a huge red flag - something is definitely wrong with that picture big time!!

Every child has a right to know who their parents are Even if you hide them it'll have it's toll on the child and could be worse when they are in the dark

Good question as to when. I can understand a parent being reluctant to declare it cause it does put them on the bottom of the dating pool for eligibility. I guess a lot of kiddy owners would rationalize they deserve a chance.

Your answer is the only answer. An at the get go declaration. Otherwise it is lying by omission. If he is willing to hide the kiddies when will he mention the couple of billion of debt?

That should be mentioned on day one lmao. Not everyone wants to be with someone with kids and that’s completely okay. So it should be something that you mention immediately if you’re trying to pursue someone.

The very first time that they feel something did they know that there could be something the best thing to do is just be straight up honest and it's the person doesn't want to be with you that's okay because you don't need that kind of person in your life anyway so best thing to do is be honest straightforward and as soon as possible because it's actually a positive too most guys look at it as a negative but I look at it as a positive

It should be sooner rather than later. If the guy can't accept kids, it is better to know early and not get too involved and suffer a break up in a budding relationship.

If you aren't already acquainted, then as soon as possible. Ideally before agreeing to meet.  Avoid introducing someone to your children until you have been dating a good while.

On the one hand you want them to know so that if they are not into kids you don’t want to waste the time but on the other hand you want to protect your kids if they get to close and it doesn’t work out.
