What has been your biggest life lesson?

I am not old so for now what I do is,

I look at myself

when I get too emotional about something related to family, friends, society etc. I just stop and start looking at myself

it reminds me why I am occupying my mind with the thoughts for other people, they are not thinking about me that much

just focusing on myself.
without any chanting in mind that I have to look at myself, I have to look at myself
I just do it

this tones down my emotions which make me feel pathetic and brings out those emotions that give me a really good feeling of self-consciousness

I spent my entire life in a rush for for everything, always eager and never satisfied.
I even came out of the womb 9 days before my official term.


It’s taken me 27 years to finally begin to accept that Im speeding down the highway of life when I should be taking the scenic route


Admittedly I still haven’t adjusted and still feel the need to rush but I try every chance I get to temper myself and appreciate the moment

A variety of things:
1. Everyone is the hero of their story, aka no one wants to be the bad guy. Everyone is coming at the world with the best intentions.
2. Strangers care as much about what I’m doing as I care about what strangers are doing. Nobody’s judging me for doing normal things in public.
3. If my happiness depends on the actions of someone else, I will never be happy. I need to focus on what I can control and how I want to live my life, I can’t use others’ actions to make my life better.

@EmmaMary Learn to stand on your own two feet counting on your own strength, never become dependent on another person because if you don't hold your own hand nobody else will, never settle and never ever do something out of fear of not being accepted, do what you want your own way and that your inside world is your superpower and that is what you should work on always. Finally keep walking and only if another person is able to walk at your pace must you stop and take his hand because if that person can keep up with you it means he can stand by you in the difficulties and good times regardless of the challenges. Oh and I must not forget: trust your instincts and nobody else's and never be afraid to stand alone. Xxx

My biggest lesson is when I was 13 and had a girlfriend I ended telling her personal stuff about me and she and all the girls in school bullied me for 2 years!! It was horrible the principal never listened to me just the girls. It taught me not to trust people so quickly.

Wow that is a tough one. I think one of the biggest life lessons that I've learned, is to watch out who you date. Aside from that, maybe the life lesson of keeping the peace in the family and doing what you can for your parents.
