I have an extremely toxic relationship with my family. I graduated college almost a year ago and had a lot of trouble finding a job. I finally got my dream job in my field recently but it’s all the way across the country so I’m moving. I don’t take it as that much of a loss since I don’t really think I have anything keeping me here like many friends and I’m not dating anyone so the only adjustment would be not having family.
I’ve been going through a lot of stress trying to prepare for the move. My sister is a year and a few months younger than me and my parents always get on me to why I don’t try to be closer to her and be there for her. She is extremely judgmental and will say things like “you don’t know how the real world works and are clueless and I’d definitely rob you if I didn’t know you.” I just don’t think we’re anything alike and she’ll negate my success too.
My parents practically forced me to tell her I got the job and she dryly congratulated me and won’t ask anything and will say how noone in my career is my friend and say how naive I can be and my parents just agree with her, which I get but it’s her delivery.
So recently we went on a family trip and I ended up getting into a fight with my mom ( who I always fight with ) and said I couldn’t wait to get to my new job and how I got it on my own ( kinda harsh but I did work hard ) then my sister said I was spoon fed and was like “all you’ll be doing is probably getting coffee for people and typing and my mom laughed ( that really was a low blow to me considering how down I got about not finding anything and I completely lashed out and called them names ). When we got home I accidentally almost hit my sisters car with my bag and she pushed me into the door and my mom didn’t do anything and just watched. My mom and her are close and she always takes her side. My dad never believes me either and will say how I need to stop pushing my family away and will only get on me for what I’ve done and not them.

Many ignore the existence of the kingdom of darkness... doesn't make it not exist! There are spiritual entities impacting your family and yourself. This is very plain to see but because you and most people only focus on what you can see, you miss it. Deliverance, prayer and healing are what is needed. You can travel away, start a new job and ghost all you want, but if you and your family do not forgive each other, it will effect the rest of your life in ways beyond your expectation. I suggest you pray for your family each time you feel like fighting.
Yes, do it before it kills you or the situation gets worse. In the moment you may think you know its not that big of a deal but later on that shit accumulates and if you do not move out, you're going to be left thinking this all couldve been avoided if i just left. Sometimes there is people in your circle that dont allow you to truly grow into your authentic self. Just move out. The fact that you are asking yourself this question is your answer.
