I have good reason to cut off my sister after I helped her yet she destroyed my home?

Months ago my 40 year old sister was was going threw a hard time about her personal life issues and housing issues. Ok so I decided to be a good sister give my sister a chance to stay with us at our house. My husband and I we never charge her rent. She knows that my husband and I are a clean freak and everything must be clean and we live a minimalist life style. Now here's where I am getting to the point my sister started hoarding stuff and I mean a lot of stuff not only that she was having issues with her boyfriend at the time her baby daddy it was one peaceful morning I was relaxing drinking my coffee and reading my scriptures out of nowhere I hear this banging on the wall and my sister went completely nuts started yelling funky sonic multi time I can hear her from downs stairs from the guess room it was a shit show I went upstairs to see why was going on my sister and made huge wholes on the walls. I was so frustrated I got my nephew on the phone I could care less if he was in class I call him if on his spring break he must drive to town and come pickup his mother take her to his apartment my husband was very upset at my sister. Later my husband and I we were scheduling an appointment for my sister some how my sister lost the document I was calm asking her where did she live the document later she jump And started attacks me. Thank God one of the neighbors witness and help me out on this whole situation. My sister keeps telling people she was as under stress the issues she had with her boyfriend at the time. Still that was no excuse to destroy my home

And attack me. My sister is says I am obligated to forgive her. No forgiveness is a privilege not a right. I open my house to he only to be disrespectful.

I think you're totally justified in wanting to cut her off after what happened. You gave her a chance and she blew it in a big way. Sometimes you just have to draw that hard line, even if it's with family. Your mental health and safety have to be the priority here.

If I were you, I'd make it crystal clear to your sister that her actions have consequences, and that you're done allowing her to disrespect you and your home. Set some firm boundaries, and don't feel guilty about enforcing them. You don't owe her anything, especially after what she did.

You aren't obligated to forgive her. That said, as a Christian, it would be wise to forgive her. Of course, that doesn't mean you ever allow her into your home or ever speak with her again. Forgiveness ≠ forgetting.

If she's still acting like a crazy idiot, then tell her to stay away until she gets her head screwed on straight.
