I used to know somebody that I thought had the perfect life and when they started ignoring our phone calls we thought they had so many new friends they no longer thought we were popular enough for them. Later we learned they were very sick when they stopped returning our phone calls and that they were heavily isolated during the few years before they died. I know somebody else I thought had the perfect life cause I visited their home and they had all the perks of a happy home. I later learned they had a lot of secret problems at home and those issues were one of the reasons they were so eager to live alone once they turned 18. We are born less than a month apart and have our birthdays in the same month.

I have! The best way to look at life is to always know someone is going through something one way or another, whether it be mental or physical struggles. What I have really learned is because we don't know what's going on with them (like the examples you gave) We should never be rude or assume the worst and just know everyone has bad days and or good days. Sometimes the closest of people may hide some things going on to avoid judgement or pity.

A similar story for me was a customer who came in at an old place I worked, she was a sweet gal and we just got to talking about different live stock feeds. She told me that her son had just recently passed away and she now has these animals she has to take care of and her son has always been their for her and vice versa. I gave her a hug because she was crying and it helped her cheer her up and that alone I was appreciate of.
