Yep. My older brother played the flute and guitar. I played piano and messed around with drum machines. Growing up I lived in a single family home on a quarter acre on a lake in the city with both parents and two siblings. Neither of my parents played instruments when I was young, but apparently my father played the piano when he was a kid.
My brother and I both attended music lessons for a while when we were in elementary school. He was studying the guitar and I was studying the piano. My parents also bought me the NES Miracle Piano game/keyboard when I was a kid. I remember playing Star Wars theme songs on that a lot, practicing random songs at lessons on a standard upright piano while learning to read music, and playing around on grand and baby grand pianos at a family friend's house. One of their sons was concert pianists so they had an entire piano studio in their home.
Yes. Electric guitar. In my room mostly when my dad was at work. And sometimes in the garage.
