Do you think im disrespecting my brother for planting a plant in the yard?

My brother and I own a mobile home. We bought it in 2017. I lived there with my brother until 2019 and then moved to my moms. My brother moved away and I moved into the place a few weeks ago. My aunt was living in a 24 ft travel trailer. She was sick and deeply depressed so I offered for her to move in with me. She took the offer and things are going great so far. Well, I didn't tell my brother about this until a couple of days ago. He was upset because he wants me to live on my own seeing as I'm 31 and I've never lived alone. So when I told my brother this, he was pretty upset. We were on the phone, and when I told him, there was like a 6 second pause. I asked if he was still there. He said "yes, I'm just processing thus and thinking about what I'm about to say". He told me why he was upset, and he was like "but whatever dude". I thought he was gonna hang up on me, but he changed his tone, and calmed down. Then we just started talking about video games. It turned out to be a pleasant conversation. He just said that he appreciates Me telling him, and just to tell him before I do anything like that. So yesterday my aunt bought a small succulent plant maybe the size of a baseball, and she wanted to pant it. There is as small overgrown flower bed in front of the front deck. My aunt said she wants it just in front of that, so I dug a small hole and planted it right next to the flower bed but in the lawn. I didn't think much of it because the rest of the yard looks like crap anyways. I'm kind of freaking out because I kind of feel like I should have asked him before I did it.

Nah bro, I don't think you're disrespecting your brother by planting a little plant in the yard. It's not like you're doing some major landscaping overhaul or anything, it's just a small succulent.

Your brother was already cool with you letting your aunt move in, even though he had his reservations about it. And when you told him, he expressed his thoughts but then chilled out and you guys ended up having a good convo. Doesn't sound like he's super pissed about it.

As long as you're not doing anything crazy to the place without running it by him first, I wouldn't stress too much. It's your place too, and if your aunt wanted a little plant, that's not a big deal. Your brother just wants you to keep him in the loop, which is fair.

I think you're overthinking it a bit, bro. Your brother seems reasonable about it all. As long as you continue to communicate with him and give him a heads up on any bigger changes, a little plant isn't gonna ruin your relationship or anything. It's all good, man. Don't worry about it too much.
