Do guys go to baby showers?

I am a guy and I was invited to a baby shower for a former coworker, who is going to have a baby in March. I had never heard of guys being invited to baby showers. I'm not the only guy. There will be a few others there. What do guys do at these? Is there a certain point at which the guys leave and leave it to the ladies to do their baby talk?

Yes, those are mostly coed nowadays. They usually play games like put a diaper on a doll while blindfolded. There’s always food! 😂

@TrueConfection I went today. It was cool. I sat at a table with a former coworker, and the husband's dad, and the wife's dad. Had lots of good food. It was great.

Well with my children I was the only guy at the baby shower. Usually it's the women that attend the baby shower. It's more of a woman's time out. It's their opportunity to get to know the new mother and share experiences if they are parents.

Nowadays it probably doesn't matter who attends the baby shower. It's good that people show for the expected mother.

Yes, sometimes guys go to baby showers, in particular ones for coworkers. Baby showers for family members are usually limited to women only.

I've gone to a couple. If you're invited, and they know you're a man, then yes it's fine for men to go.
