She was a best friend of mine for 15 years. I say friend, she was not. I treated her like gold, like a sister, the entire time I ignored her red flags. she was jealous, she was rude, talked about me, made fun of me, never shared, never reciprocated, never even seemed grateful. She didn't protect me behind my back, and boasted about how she betrayed me. The nail on the coffin was when she was my chaperone one night and I got totally wasted, knowing she didn't drink. She wanted to go for a walk, we went for a walk, and we came across these guys she knew. I drunkenly followed her, my phone was dead, my wallet at her house, and I had no keys. We ended up in their hotel room and one of them attempted to SA me. I pushed him off, went to the bathroom, and she proceeded to have a 3 sum with them in the next room. Then she took me yet again to another man's house, whos friend spent 1 hour trying to pin me down to the bed as she yet again, had sex in the next room. She did not take care of me, and left me to fend for myself all whilst getting her rocks off. She can eat shit.
People like her are the reason why I went sober.
It’s not really about anger… it’s more like a quiet kind of hurt. In the beginning, he made the effort, like I actually mattered. But once he knew he had my attention, things changed. He started pulling away, enjoying the fact that I’d still be there no matter what. And I guess that’s what hurts the most.. realizing that someone you cared about slowly stopped caring the same way... when something hurts, we just hope it’ll fade on its own. But it didn’t...
This is actually a common problem for many people with the whole "chase." It happens to both men and women. After somebody has finally gotten the other person, worked hard enough for their attention, it's like the challenge is over and they no longer are interested. This is why "pursuing" really is very toxic at the end of the day, and I personally believe people need to be friends first before escalating to a serious relationship.
yah, iI get what u mean, but in my case, we were actually friends for over 8 months before he proposed. It wasn’t some quick chase, it felt real, which is y the change hit harder...
hmm yeah… it really hurts when someone makes you believe u r special, only to slowly drift away like it never meant anything to them... It wasn’t just some fleeting thing... we had something real, or at least I thought we did..
yah… it hasn’t been easy... when someone u trusted changes like that, it leaves this kind of hollow feeling, u know? like, was any of it even real? but i guess life has a way of teaching lessons the hard way...
It is possible that either your family or possibly his family scared him off or maybe he found somebody else behind your back who knows. Maybe he doesn't l the smell of your farts or even his own.
@Cuminginside lol, that took a weird turn real fast. 🤦♀️ But nah, if something scared him off, he never said a word... and if he found someone else, well… guess that just proves he wasn’t the person i thought he was. either way, life moves on. 😊
If he's not man enough to tell you and stand on his feet that he's not a real man.
@Cuminginside yhh, real men don’t just walk away in silence. if something changd, he should’ve had the courage to say it instead of leaving things hanging... well... life goes on, nd I’ll be just fine. 😊
The only time in history I've seen men just walk away for what I read was the Great depression and their eyes they did not feel like men anymore They could not earn they couldn't feed their families as they thought they were another mouth to feed plus the wife's not putting out because you don't want a kid under those circumstances and it lasted for 10 years and then 5 years of war. I can't speak for your country but my country the crime rate started to go up from that point on. The other only excuse is the person is an adolescent and then not fully a man yet so they don't know how to regulate responsibility and emotions but I tell people this sooner or later you have to step up to the plate and all these young people playing video games all day long It's keeping them in the child stage.
@Cuminginside hmm.. i get your point.. but at some stage, everyone has to take responsibility and grow. nd the real strength isn’t just about survival or providing; it’s also about emotional accountability. a man who truly values someone won’t just walk away in silence—he’ll have the courage to communicate, no matter the situation...
If he is a gamer, yeah that's not happening They are infantile and the Bible talks about that, "to put away childish things and leave Mom and Dad to another and become one flesh (in reference to sex unison). I don't know the Qur'an version of that but I'm sure it's in there.
@Cuminginside hmm.. but maturity isn’t about hobbies; it’s about mindset. a real man.. gamer or not, knows when to step up, take responsibility, and communicate like an adult... and silence isn’t strength; accountability is... even in the Qur’an (Surah Ar-Rum 30:21), it emphasizes love, mercy, and understanding in relationships... not avoidance..
Oh 🧐 my next question is he a Muslim like you?
@Cuminginside Yes, he is. But faith isn’t just about identity; it’s about character. Islam teaches responsibility, honesty, and emotional integrity. If someone truly follows their deen, they won’t just walk away in silence—they’ll handle things with ihsan (excellence) and sincerity...
It's the same over here as well.
There's only 2 people I will never talk to again.
One tried to take advantage of me when I was having a mental breakdown by trying to make things sexual. She kept sending pictures and videos of blowjobs while I was pretty much talking myself out of it.
The other was someone I considered my best friend from the military who resented me because he considered himself an expert on PTSD and has been chasing that diagnosis for a long time. He didn't like that I got diagnosed with Complex PTSD "so easily".
They just annoy me and didn't pay the money I lent them in the time they said they would. AS ALWAYS.
Look at it like this she'll never bother you again You payed her to go away.
@Cuminginside It's a family member
Like I said
@Cuminginside brother and he still owes me
So pull the Stewie from family Guy on him It's 5:00 somewhere. Go get your money boy.
@Cuminginside It's been coming just late

never happened...
when I was 3 yo I brought from kindergarten an idea of silent treatment... my parents made me immediately aware that I don't like the following consequences :D
they've never used silent treatment against each other or me... all things that needed to be talked about were just discussed...
so... I don't do it... :D
i don't talk to my exes
nothing wrong with them but what's the point? like im not gonna deal with that emotional weirdness when i don't gotta lol
They acted like an asshole. I'm a forgiving "second chances" sort of person to a point, but push my buttons too much and I honestly just walk away. No one needs toxicity or disrespect in their lives.
My immediate family. More toxic than a frat house mattress covered in medical waste inside Chernobyl
Because she stole my belongings.
They take advantage of my niceness.
My sister because she's very annoying 😑
