There's someone I don't really get along with at work. I make it clear I don't wanna talk: keep my earbuds in, avoid eye contact, don't talk to them at all, don't say hi to them etc.. Anyways she still will comment on things or keep talking even after I made it super clear I don't wanna talk even if I don't say anything back.
Why would someone do this..
Maybe she doesn't notice the social cue you don't want to talk? Sometimes I miss certain things like that, some people just don't catch nonverbal communication. Or she maybe she's trying to gain your trust, some people don't like being ignored and will just speak anyway.
Change your mind. Pressure you into submission. Want you really bad…
Either desperation or a lack of social intelligence to understand.
