After spending my life in careers where we just go off last names, my first name sounds bizarre to me. I'd prefer calling them something different lol.
Yes adding "jr." But mom must agree.
no it would be weird to have the same name as your kid. also my name is shit (clementine..). the male version, clement, isn't better
I would not oppose it entirely if my partner really wanted to, but it would not be my first choice to do that.

I have two sons, one has my name as his middle name, but each has their own unique first name.
I never liked the idea of a Junior, where the father and son share the same name. A person, especially a child, should be unique, able to be themselves, and naming them after their father makes that difficult.
Yes, I know they could have the same first name and a different middle name, but when that happens, the child often ends up getting called by his middle name, to avoid confusion. If you're going to do that anyway, why not make that his first name?
No definitely not (my name isn't actually Steve). I've always thought it was an odd idea. The whole idea of "Blank Jr." seems weird to me. It's seems like its making the kid an extension of the parent rather than their own person.
I don't have any feelings about anyone else doing this.
Personally I wouldn't.
I like my name but no I wouldn't. I find that very narcissistic.
That is not the intention. stop being so judgmental.
I meant for me. Sorry. I feel like for me that would be narcissistic.
I was never a fan of my own name so no. But i did always like the nickname DJ for a so
Nope, my kids would use my partner family’s name. I would just choose middle name for them 😬
Not only is that weird, but I don't even like my name and I don't plan on naming my kids after anybody anyway.
What is weird about it? Nothing.
No I get why people do it but it's not for me
nope... they should have their own
No, I could never be that mean.
My son shares my name
NEVER
No. I would not.
Nah, that's weird
