Do you do stuff to please your nephew's or nieces or even family?

So all the family were round at my sister's and my 4 year old niece decided I had to put on my pyjamas (I was staying over) all day which I never planned for🥴🥴 as her neighbours were there too as well as all my relatives.

So here I am sitting in pyjamas shorts and top at 1pm and the she decided to try and paint my nails and do my make up.

She is adorable and loved my pyjamas so much I had to wear them all day which was a bit emuti start with.

I played for hours with my 3 year old niece. We were in the middle of a unicorn battle. It was grim. Hundreds of dead unicorns littered the battlefield (her idea). We had our ice powers, the enemy had fire powers... we fought a good fight.

Then we were trapped in the bathroom while spooky spiders came streaming under the crack between the door and floor. We only had a flashlight for defense against spooky spiders. But... the flashlight would go out, leaving us screaming in terror in the pitch-black bathroom as spooky spiders crawled all over us. Then, somehow, the flashlight would come back on. Just in time to keep us (we're still unicorns by the way) from being devoured.

Then we played house for a bit. I preferred the unicorn battle myself, but I'll play anything with my niece (and her 6 year old brother). I love hanging out with my niece and nephew more than anybody else in the whole world. They remind me of the good in this world. They are like concentrated sunshine. I love them both so much. I do all sorts of little and big things to please my nephew and my niece. I gotta enjoy this time while they're this age. I love this question.

I am the same as you but wearing my pyjamas all day in front of everyone was a bit embarrassing/ different 🥴

There are no social conventions when its niece and nephew time. I'm 40. I'm not supposed to fight unicorns and scream about spooky-spiders. It's embarrassing/different... but no need to feel embarrassed. It's the best.

Who cares what the rest of the family might think. She's only going to be as much fun as she is for a few more years. Enjoy having fun with her without worrying about judgement for wearing PJs all day. 🙂

Yes I do or I did I use to take care of them on the weekends but now they are grown and out an there own. I think sometimes I see them more than there parents.

When your with them take the opportunity to teach them I'm sure your niece follows you around like a little puppy dog wanting you to do her fingernails and toenails before you know it they will be your age

I used to be really bad at keeping in touch with family, after my nephew felt the need to introduce himself to me was when I really started making an effort to do things with him and make sure he knows who I am and that I love him more than most people.
