My mom wants what I want?

I have always told my mom how I want to study abroad and was attending free language classes. But she always started conflict saying that there are no cool thing abroad and I want too much.
But now she’s going to Internship abroad and started going to language classes and happily announced that she’s planning to do internship in Europe after. I’m happy that she’s having such opportunities, but I felt kinda weird. Like why so many years she was arguing with me to wanting to study abroad and travel, but now she’s doing it herself?😭 I feel like I was gaslighted my whole life and spent so much of my nerves because of it😭 and never had any support from my parents side. Like they didn’t want best for me and I always felt shame for wanting expensive brace treatment of my teeth but now have problems with my jaw. And the same thing with studying abroad. They always wanted me to feel bad for asking them to send study abroad, but why I should feel bad for such things?

Parents learn from their children. Most likely you chamged her mind, your focus and determination got her looking into it, and the more she looked the more she started agreeing with you. Obviously it's not the only option but my kids have changed mind about things

People can change. And you aren't too old to do that, or to get your teeth fixed. If you can, get counseling for your childhood trauma.

You are adult as long as you pay that by yourself you don’t need anyone permission to do something.

Oh come on, your mom need a young boyfriend
