No, if the relationship is close enough.
It is weird to me because, taking it literally, calling a spouses's parents "Mom" or "Dad" implies their spouse is their sibling, and siblings don't do the "dirty".
That would feel weird to me. They are not my mom and dad. I'm an adult and called my wife's parents by their names as if we were equals.
They didn't call me son. They called me by my name.
It's normal for kids to call their parents mom and dad because that's what they called them all their lives. My parents always called me and my sister by our names but we always referred to them as mom and dad. My wife's parents called her and her siblings by their names but they always called their parents mom and dad.
