"I'm hungry, Wally", "Mom says I don't have to listen to you, Wally", "you're not my real dad, Wally", "get the fuck away from me, Wally or I'll gut you like a pig"! They're only five and six years old! Do any of you have or had kids that would call you by your first name? Should I demand that they start?
I called my dad Jim once and learned really quick never to do it again. He didn't hit me but he glared at me and said he better here that again. I guess it's up to you. Do you feel like they are disrespecting you? My dad and mom definitely do! Personally I can see his point I'm not his buddy I'm his daughter so I can see where he is coming from.

My dad would never ever allow that lol.
Yes. You need the mom to tell them to be respectful. You are a defacto parent and if the mom is not empowering you then she is disrespecting you. If she doesn't respect you then ditch the bitch. This is all coming from the mom. Don't put up with this or tolerate.
In the case of your daughters, no. I wouldn't admit to a pathetic loser like you being my father either!

There are times when growing up when you just don't want to call your dad "Dad" anymore. But they're still quite young for it
"Mom says"
I would talk with the mother of the kids. It looks like she is a problem, not the kids.If you are the real deal, then I wouldn’t say it’s disrespectful just casually unless your parents gave you a bad name, it just feels weird. Step parents thought it’s completely fine.
I don't know I call mine a different name have done since my teenage years
Only person who's taken issue was one of my mother's friendsAre you their natural father? It sounds like your real problem is with the mother, and it's serious.
Sounds like they need to learn some respect, the hard way!!
My parents would never allow us to call them by their first name. It's disrespectful in my opinion. My kids never even tried it with us
Put them in their place. Parents should discipline and raise they kids.
Seems disrespectful to me. I've never gotten along much with my dad, but I still have always called him "dad". It would be weird calling him by his name.
Sell them to traffickers.
