My dad wasn't present in a lot of ways and while my mom was present 24/7 (up to a certain point), we didn't get along when I was a kid. I guess you could argue that my mom was "better" since she was around, but our relationship has always been complicated.

Mom. Both had/have their problems but my Dad was more abusive when I was growing up.

My dad and I didn't get along do well growing up so my mom was the one I leaned on more and she did more to sacrifice for my brothers and I. So easily, in this case, it was my mom who was the better parent.
