How to tell my controlling parents that I’m pregnant?

I love my parents to death but they are a lot. Little background information, I’m 24 turning 25, I live with my boyfriend for three years now and I pay for all my bills. But my parents are never satisfied. Every guy I’m with they will always find something they don’t like about them and the one I’m with, is that he has kids from a previous relationship. (We have a five year age gap) well today I found out I’m 8 weeks pregnant. I know they will not like it due to them not wanting a “bastard” grandchild and that it was made out of wedlock. They only believe you should bring children into the world if you are married to so father. They even hate my boyfriend’s children because they see them as bastards when they are the sweetest children. I know there going to be mad once I tell them that I am, I’m just asking what would be the best way to handle it with them being the way that they are?

I think they are definitely too controlling if you are afraid to even give them joyous news such as that, assuming you are happy to be pregnant.

If you must tell them, then all you can really do is rip off the bandaid and tell them. Be upfront and stand up for yourself that you won't tolerate any judgment if they start dishing it out. If they continue, then just leave. You don't have to put up with it.

That guy is never going to marry you. He's using you. You pay all the bills and been with this guy for 3 years yet still not married? Your parents aren't controlling they just know you're dumb, naive and being used lol
