Boomers are the absent grandparents?

Will the Alpha generation have grandparents issues? Boomers are the most selfish most self-centered generation of all time history.

My grandma will be 94 this year and she's always been there for me way more then My own parents. My parents are 62 and 64 years old on Friday's after school they would always drop us off at my grandparents house and my siblings and I wouldn't see my parents until Monday afternoon when they pick us up from school.

My parents always had me time my dad would go play sports my mom would hit the mall and spas.

Now that I am a father myself my parents do not even bother showing up at my daughter's birthday party or her soccer games. My parents don't even spend Christmas with us.

At first I thought I was the only dude but after I catch up with my old long time friends from my childhood they're boomer parents are doing the exact same thing. I ask my mom if we could plan out a family vacation mom tell's me my father and her already had plans to go on vacation to Dominican Republic and Cancun.

These boomers better not complain and wonder why they end up in a nursing home.

My grandparents were the only one's who even bother showing up at my daughter's soccer games getting her cards. I don't even ask my parents for toys or money just a simple happy birthday to my daughter. My heart broke when my daughter ask me when grandma does not love her. I cry and my heart broke to see my daughter sad on her birthday.

Can any Millennial here related to my situation?

Why are boomers not so good grandparents?
