My parents did their best and they did great
But we don’t come from money
There are so many things I wanted growing up that I just couldn’t have
Family trips.
Vacations abroad
A yacht (there’s a specific reason why yachts mattered to me)
I also would have loved a career in motorsports
And my dad was a fan of the sport itself
But there was no way to afford it
I know I sound like a spoiled kid who didn’t know how good he had it
But I did
I’m grateful for my parents and all they did for me
Its more than anyone is allowed to ask for in this life
But hey that’s why they’re called wishes
If that was, the stuff "missing", then you had it quite good, i never even hoped for such luxuries... not even one on your list!
As a child i wished my mother didn’t hate me or that she would forgive me for whatever reason she had for abusing me my entire childhood. I wished anyone would care enough about me to put an end to it.
Those wishes died with my innocence. Now i wish more people would take stories like mine seriously. It’s extremely rare for people to recognize abuse when the mother is the abuser, and even more rare when the victim is a boy.
It’s too late for me. But it would be nice if we chose to be more attentive for all the boys who are still being abused.
I always wanted my parents to stop drinking, they would have been really decent parents if they had. Also I had always hoped something big would happen and I would end up on an adventure with fun people and had an amazing time, but that never happened lol
My mum going to therapy and focusing on self improvement, instead of dating abusive men and becoming more and more traumatised, which said trauma was then taken out on me and my siblings throughout the years since.

I wish I could’ve been on Nickelodeon GUTS. I would’ve RUN that shit, just dominated the AggroCrag, lmao

Do you have any idea of how much “guts” I would’ve gotten back in college if I had been able to have my piece of The Crag on full display?😝

My parents got divorced when I was 4. She was a mess but we vacationed in Connecticut with her on every holiday and for the most part they were all fun and magical. My mother was a fun lady but an awful parent and horrific drunk. When I was 15 my mother broke up with her long time boyfriend (a good man I still talk too) and she just showed up Christmass eve at our house. It was magical. Like my family was the way it was supposed to be. We went to bed. She fucked my dad, amd she was gone before Santa came down the chimney. I hardly talked to her after that. I guess I wish what could have happened is my mother died on her way to our house that Christmas eve. To give her family hope to just be a piece of shit before the sun rises? Id have rather never known a family for those few hours then to know it was possible and never really had.
Going to the library and the park museums making arts and crafts instead of being the second mom taking over adult responsibilities. I am not saying parents should be obligated to take kids into expensive Disney vacations but geez be creative story time. As a former Cinderella child the oldest kids are not responsible for raising their younger siblings. If couple can't handle more then one kid they should considering closing the baby factory.
I wish the parents and teachers , who did bodily punishment, for example spanking, woulda got caught and punished to deter them... but when a parent thinks they have "parental rights" to cut off pieces from "their" baby boy... like they peal carrots, and they do cut in infant circumcision,
you can't expect parents to care about pain they inflict on their child.
I wish social media never existed in my childhood because there has been many teens feeling bullied, unhappy, insecure and sometimes even committing suicide because of social media usage. It’s bad for the mental health. I recently saw this thing online it said apparently half of British people said they wish the grew up without the internet
It would've been helpful if my parents did some self reflection and get help.
Nothing of importance, I'm satisfied with my childhood. For pre-teen years though... I might have wishes, but that's for another question then.
A father, I was severely handicapped as I was raised by a mentally unstable single mother with several narcissistic tendencies and my father was a deadbeat
I’m still trying to unlearn the crap I was put through in childhood
As a child, I was a massive star wars fan. And being the dumb kid I was, I prayed every night to have clone troopers crash land in my back yard. Besides that, I don't have any other wishes for my childhood
I wanted a good looking boyfriend when I was younger, but as an adult, I don’t care about looks any more, beyond the idea I want him to be healthy enough to live through a long term marriage.
A real family life would have been nice.
Being really close to my grandparents….
It sort of happened later, but I don't know would’ve been different I think for the better.
My self made gunpowder never exploded right.
But never mind - other combustible experiments were quite successful - and I even survived them.
I wish my parents got along. I also wish my dad took me camping at least once or twice. His shitty older sister and her husband ruined camping for him when he was a kid. They made him do all the chores.
Therapy. Could have made a huge difference in my life
a lot of things
Going to my grandpa and great grandma funeral
Stop being hurt by parents
Go to school
Graduated in 2015
and much more
My mom won more money in the lottery. At least a couple of millions.
Yes but it was just 13k I think. I was like 12 I think.
I wanted to be one of the popular kids. Instead I was a fat kid that everyone made fun of.
In many cases that is more genetics than eat habits!
@strateguy632 I was lazy and unmotivated.
I wish I had not been sent to private schools run by sadists.
Gotten more into having ambition instead of just doing what I enjoy.
Parental promises followed through. But I grew up to realize this is a character fault to begin with. My poor mum should have stayed single.
Nothing really comes to mind. I had a pretty great childhood.
I wish I had died in my childhood, not because I am depressed, but because life isn't worth it, lol
Uhhhh
That's a worrying statement !
@LiaRaven Life is a gift enjoy it enjoy your youth. And if life is that bad for you then do something about it and stop saying thing you don't mean cause when death really comes for you I promise you won't like it
@Bklynbadboy12
Welllll, unless you know her personally, I don't think it's wise to state that she doesn't mean it
Also, life is really not a gift no, life is what it is, amazing, horrifying or something in between. You're not going to tell a toddler dying from any disease that life is a gift, please think about it lol
@bklynbadboy12 I second on what @Maybe_Maybe_not said
"enjoying my life, I try to enjoy every minute of it but still it doesn’t worth the hassle"

again !🤨🤓
You and him are crazy. It's simple if you don't like you life then change it. It really is that simple
... Yeah okay, if YOU can change your life as you wish, then we really don't share the same definition of life here 🤨
You can change your life thats a fact she's has two arms and two legs and all of her mental faculties
Right, that was your definition of life, a body and mental faculties, here is my definition:
your body
your mental faculties
your past experiences
your society
your parents
your trauma
your culture
your upbringing
your hardship
your character
your personality
your surroundings
Altogether, that is a life to me, roughly speaking. That's why it looks simple for you, and not simple for me, to change one's life.
Why do you think it's so hard to make a better life for yourself people do it all of the time
I mean seriously you see drug addicts get clean and turn their life around why do you think you can't it just requires a little effort
Because of the reasons stated above, this lack of similar definition carried means a lack of mutual understanding, there's nothing much to do I'm afraid
Death. Would have liked to have died before I lost my innocence.
I had a good childhood so can't say id change anything
my parents staying together so i didn't have to feel like i had to provide instead of my dad.
It's pointless. My childhood wasn't bad. I'm not going to wish about what could've been better.
Divorce! Sweet freedom! No more abusive loser father!
Father wouldn't have been a fucking mental head case
For both parents and teachers to have recognized I really was having trouble in school
You can overcome all of that it's been done before it's not all doom and gloom
I wish I didn't have abandonment issues.
Had a sibling.
Parents.
there are many things
Too many things to count...
Been loved.
Go to school
Both parents.
Learn how to fly.
