Did you know your 4 grandparents?

I only knew 3 of them, as my father's mother passed away before I was born. My grandfather told me a lot of things about her, she was a very courageous and extraordinary woman.

I only knew my mother's father for a few years, as he died when I was 6. I have vague memories of him. I don't think I remember anything before the age of 4.

My other grandparents (my father's father and my mother's mother) lived to a respectable age of 98 and 95 respectively.

No... Sadly, I never got to know what both of my grandfathers were like. Paternal grandfather died when I was just a baby. I don't remember anything about him. Maternal grandfather died before I was even born ☹️ I feel like I missed out on great memories and beautiful bonds that kids have with grandpa.

That's the same case with me. My paternal grandma passed away before my dad was even married so I never had a chance to see her. My paternal grandpa passed away 2 years ago. Now both my maternal grandparents are well and healthy.

I think grandparents fulfil an important role within the family. My mother's mother was the focal point for many family reunions at her house. My father's father was the focal point for several family reunions of that part of the family that had moved abroad.

My late paternal grandfather is the most kindest person I've seen in those world.

But, I'm not happy with my maternal grandparents. They were bad parents and my mom had to pretty much raise up herself, they would beat her in the most smallest issues. And now that she's all wealthy, they are acting as if she was always their best daughter. They hated her because she was a bit backward in her studies (for which my maternal grandparents are responsible too) and now that I study good, they're treating me better than they treated my mom when she was my age.

And my maternal family is just really messed up. My paternal family is also filled with the most selfish people, my dad's dad was the only person I ever loved there.

But what I do know is, later on my children will surely have the best maternal grandparents, my parents can be no better than they are now!

No - just my mother's mother - my grandma.

My other grandma burned alive when her house caught on fire 🔥 because one of her 6 children was looking for a baseball with a lot match under the bed and caught the bed on fire and then the rest of the house.
Her husband, my grandfather took the children and moved to New Jersey so I never knew any of them either.
My mother's Dad was carpooling in a pick up truck and after work going home he died when the truck hit a tree.
I think about all of them and wish all of that didn't happen because I always wondered what my life would have been like with all of them in it.
So now I have no relatives except my son and my nephew. 😔

I didn't meet my grandpas... as they did pass before my time or before I could get an idea of them... didn't met my great grandpas either

I met my grandmas and great grandma on my mother's side... and also met the husband of my grandma who married again, while we never called him grandpa... that's what he always to all of us cousins... our grandpa

I knew two of them... my grandmother and grandfather on my mother's side. The latter passed away when I was still in about kindergarten, so I don't remember much of him.

As for my grandparents on my father's side of the family, they both passed before I was born.

Yes I knew all 4 of them. My maternal grandparents were the ones I was closest to.
