Why do people assume that someone who is energetic and having fun at a party is drunk?

I never have but people have thought I was lol When I was 16, I moved and started a new highschool, I was very quiet and shy. A girl I met invited me to her friends party and by the end of the night, I was talking so much and having so much fun, everyone thought I was on drugs 😂 In my case, it was just them noticing a drastic change in my behavior.

Haha so true. I've been to a club and not drank and gotten that high feeling off the energy and vibe.

I guess if alcohol is being served and someone's jumping around acting so confident it's natural to presume alcohol lowered their inhibitions. If no alcohol is being served everyone will presume they on drugs so... 🤷‍♀️

I don't drink or do illegal drugs and never have and never will.
People used to ask me why I don't drink. I used to reply "Because I watch everyone else who is drunk doing so many funny things that they are my comedy show"!👍🏼

Ah, your body just isn't used to it. I think if you gave it another shot, it might work for you. A glass of wine... I can't imagine that affected your blood alcohol level to the point of having puke though.

But I can understand you not wanting to feel that way again, so I respect it.

Same thing for me and basically any other drug. I tried weed a couple times after the age of 27 because I was wondering why everyone hyped it up so much, and my body rejected it every time. Terrible experience each time.

@sage2021 Yup. When we feel that sick, we just want comfort. Everything else goes out the window. I think too many people nowadays are germophobic. Everyone seems to be squeamish over things that our ancestors used to deal with regularly.

I personally love sleeping outside in the grass when I'm drunk and feeling sick.
