It depends on the friends. And same goes with a spouses

In life we all think different. We all see things different so we believe things differently..


And that is OK and we should welcome differen ways or ideas. In to our lives. And when we can do this and respect our friend or spouses we have the understanding. No matter how we might feel or see political. Religion abortion or really anything in life. Our bond is stronger than the topic that is being discussed. And you understand its ok not to see something exactly eye to eye.

And after discussing a topic. If it becomes heated. Then you have to call a time out. And learn from that moment. Because if there is an argument.
About something.

Then in spiritual life. There's a lesson there. That's why the topic came up.
And we grow from that lesson. It's not so much. The topic is important because that's just what drama brings us in life drama is evil

There's a bigger picture to be looking at to get to where we're going.

It's not so much the topic if you don't agree on it

It's how you handle it and grow from it. That makes us a better person

It can and probably does. It depends how involved in politics they both are and what views they believe. I do have a couple friends that have different views so I try to avoid talking about politics with them.

I can disagree with a liberal and not hate them. Sadly these days it doesn't seem to work the other way round

They can, but not always. My best friend in high school was mostly my polar opposite politically. Of course, this was pre Trumpism.
