Why Do We Let Valuable Friendships Suffer, Due To Politics?

. A guy whom I respect a great deal has been fairly active in many of the political discussions on here recently, and although we're polar opposites in this category, I couldn't help but admire his entire persona, and when I learned that not only is he dating a drop dead gorgeous Boricua woman (a rare feat for a white guy), he met her at his job -- which just so happens to be as a bouncer. Sorry if this sounds strange, but just the thought of being at a club, drooling over a mujer caliente like her, and then watching her go home with the muscled stud of 'Caucasian persuasion' whose single handedly providing security for the entire establishment makes me both tremendously excited and ridiculously jealous... this guy is the personification of the term 'Badass', and I could care less what his politics are, because he's too magnificent to turn my back on.
