Am I selfish for not cleaning my drunk friend's house?

I was drinking with some college friends and this one friend of mine, whose house we were drinking at, got severely drunk. Our other 2 friends left when it was getting late and cleaned up their own drinks before leaving, which I did too. Before leaving they told me to clean up after myself as well as my friend as she's wayyy too drunk to do it properly. Since I was pretty drunk myself and had a splitting headache, coupled with the fact that it was getting dark outside, I just cleaned up after myself and left. The next day all of them blasted me for being selfish and inconsiderate as I didn't clean up after a drunk friend. I reminded them that it's not my job to clean up after her and that I have taken care of her when she's gotten drunk at public places before, and if they're so concerned about her then they should've themselves cleaned up after her. Now they're all mad at me and expect me to apologize. Am I selfish?

Ok so its a catch 22. When all said and done yes you are 100 % right. .. now your also wrong. If its some one who goes out gets drunk every day that one thing. But your friend and in college. You help each other it would have only taken a few min and you could have done it at the same time as you were cleaning up after you

As for your friend giving you shit. That's just as wrong. If you all went there together you have each other's back. They can't point the finger at you with out pointing at themselves to.

So be honest. You were fucked up and you needed to go home at pass out. You were in a place you were so fucked up it was hard to clean up after your self. You can say you were wrong because that also is true. And not to blame anyone else. But the other two are wrong as well. And the one who made the mess in the first place. Is the one everyone needs to say say hate take owner ship of this. You r mess im just the scape goat. Yes I should have but I had my own problems.

What would they say if you said I was just as drunk. She gets a pass. So I get a pass and now its the two other girls problems. See and that's not right either. But its the truth of the matter. There is only one blame that's the drunk girl

Not at all , they threw the party so it’s their responsibility to clean up after it , when a guest cleans up after themselves , then the guest is just being generous , so it doesn’t mean everyone else at the party has to do the same thing. Now if they had a party and told everyone before they came over to please clean up after yourselves then that be one thing , but if they didn’t announce that to everyone before the party , then it’s automatically their responsibility to clean up after the party , so tell those people to Go Fuck themselves and tell them you did clean up your mess, but not my responsibility to clean up other peoples’messes , that’s your responsibility, your party , your house

Your friends left and put the responsibility of cleaning up after another person on you, which was unfair, especially since you were also drunk and not feeling well. Why didn’t you just say No when they asked you to clean up after her so then they could’ve known to do it themselves? They probably thought it was no problem since you’ve taken care of her before but they won’t know any different if you don’t say as much.

I've been to many parties iny day and nobody was ever sober enough to think about cleaning anything, or even remember who made a mess. The only time we ever got in trouble was if we broke stuff. Then someone had to pay for it. Otherwise the person who has the party has to clean up their disaster area after everyone was gone. That's why I never hosted any parties.
