Do you think bedrooms are considered personal space?

I hope most people would agree with this, I have cousins who are a lot younger than me and when my dad has the family over for Thanksgiving and Christmas, my younger cousins want to go into my bedroom, but I wasn’t cool with that because it’s a place for my mental health and such, but they go in anyway, and so as a result, I’ve been locking my room every year since then and every time my cousins come over. And also, when I went over to hang out with friends at their houses when I was in high school, their parents didn’t want us hanging out in the bedrooms, but it was no big deal because their parents probably thought the same thing, bedrooms are personal space. Do you think bedrooms are considered personal space in the sense that you wouldn’t want anyone in your room without permission? How do you feel about your bedrooms?
