Why the phrase “baby’s daddy” (or “baby daddy”) has become really common in everyday speech?

Whenever I hear that term I think "low class".

Almost any single parent you ask will say that they didn’t go into parenthood planning to be a baby daddy/mama, it just happened along the way. Anyone who purposely signs up for single parenthood usually do so because they feel like they’ve ran out of options. Maybe their fertility is struggling or they just don’t want to reach a certain age and not have kids but they haven’t found the right person. Any number of things.

It is because so many people in society choose not to use protection for sex, and have sex with people before being in a committed relationship. This leads to a pregnancy where the only connection the parents have is a ONS or a short meaningless relationship. Baby Daddy/Baby Mamma then tells other what the relationship is while at the same time announcing their availability for a "relationship"

I think people say "baby daddy" because it sounds relatively innocuous compared to "the dumb ass guy to whom I foolishly gave myself without protection." I lose respect for anyone who uses that euphemism.

Good relationships are increasingly more rare to find sadly. Most people should realise they are being stimulated by (social) media/tv to steer away from traditional relationship which is a shame
