How was or is your relation with your parents?

When you think about your parents and your relation with them, did you look for and/or did they provide guidance, affection or love? All of these or just some of the above?

I had the best relation ever. My mother is the sweetest person and while my dad was strict, he was also just and never favored any of the children.

I still call my parents once a day, even if it is just for 3 minutes to ask them how they are and how their day went.

I have (almost) only good memories of my childhood at home. I was lucky enough to grow up in a detached home together with my older brother and younger sister.

While my relationship with my parents and my sister were good, the same cannot be said about my brother who always wanted to show that he was the one in command. Things have changed in the meantime.

It was nearly always good with mom. Dad started out okay and after about 5 or 6 years just would NOT get off my back!!! No matter WHAT I DID it was wrong, no matter how right it was!! Just like democrats! I FINALLY won him over again back in `89 thanks to the lyrics of an XTC song called, "Hold Me, My Daddy".

My dad died when I was 12 I loved him and miss him everyday 😢 My mother let my older sister abuse me everyday so I don't care where they are today.

My parents are the best. I will always be here for them, and they did so much for me. Great relationship with two very caring and responsible people.
