How are your relationships with your parents?

My dad I tolerate but only because my brother lives with him and my brother and I are close. Otherwise if my brother weren’t there I’d have no contact with my dad.
My mom is my best friend and I literally love her more than anything. If she ever needs me I’ll drop everything and be there. Same goes for my stepdad, he’s more of a dad to me. Haven’t seen them in three years

Ok, how much time do you have? My relationship with my parents is not a normal relationship because they're normal parents. They're basically bullies.

My dad and I get along well but we don't talk much.

My mom I get along with fine too but we sometimes get into arguments, especially regarding politics or current events. We have similar general views but her rationale is frequently more rooted in appearances than results, which I despise.

My father died 15 years ago. My mother is 91 years old and frail. I see her about once a week and our roles have reversed; I am like the parent and she is the child who needs attention and care.

very good, we get along...

while we have never been that close when it comes to affection and sharing everything in our lives, we never actually had a bad relationship and we did not became distant

but we are good, and we're close in other ways... we actually work close enough to one another as in family business and it has never really been a disaster

so I think that one thing speaks volumes by itself... lol

Dad passed, Mom is just waiting to die.
We were extremely close but now that her mind is going it's just hard watching such a strong woman wither away.
So I try to call about once a week and stay in touch with family that lives closer because I can't tell how she's doing from talking to her.
