When I was in my 20s, me and my friend group did a week long celebration of a birthday. But after 30 no one wants to celebrate big anymore. I don't want to do a week long anymore, but on the day I still want to do big, this small "celebration" makes getting older depressing. Now you get invited for dinner. Two friends who are older than me, 50s, don't want to know jack shit about birthday parties. Are you happy with a dinner or do you secretly wish for something bigger?
