Ideally, how would you spend your birthday?

That's why, I tend not to celebrate my birthday on the actual day... I spread it out over the year treating myself here and there and it feels great :-)

Why conform to what others do? My birthday falls at a time of year when most likely winter is at it's peak so the last thing you want to do is go outside!

I usually choose a super sunny day in the summer as the warmth, clear blue skies, fresh air just makes you feel good and when I remember my age, it's the same number as it was on my birthday!

Have an awesome day out, eat good food and treat myself, yes!

Celebrate whenever you feel like it.

It's such an amazing feeling, especially when we're all so busy with work, the days turn into nights and the nights turn into days. The routine is the same. It's easy to forget and take a step to just pause... and think about oneself.

Appreciate who you are, what you've done, what you've achieved and when you smile to yourself after treating yourself that day, it's all worth it.

Doesn't have to be something big everytime, even the smallest things can bring joy.

Little and often is always the best, you'll appreciate it more and the impact will be greater.

I normally just hang out with a few of my friends, watch a movie at the local theater, and chill. Last year I went horseback riding for the first time. Maybe just spend the day doing something out of the ordinary? Take a mini roadtrip to nowhere. Reflect. Do something that makes you feel happy about your life and what you've accomplished. Not to sound like a loner, but my ideal birthday would be a day of peace where everyone left me alone for a day. I would have the house to myself, and I would turn on my favorite classical music playlist, read on a hammock chair, maybe drink a couple glasses of wine, and watch the black swan while stretching and practicing ballet. For dessert I would eat a slice of red velvet cheese cake. I’m pretty sure this only sounds fun to me but 🤷‍♀️.
