Could I get in legal trouble if my aunt is drunk and falls when im gone?

She's not my aunt but a family friend. She lives with me. She has trouble walking caused by her long term alcohol consumption. Thats what the doctor says. Well she quit drinking for a month, but for the past week, she has been shit faced all day everyday, which makes her mobility issues much worse. I have shit to do, and can't be home all the time. If she's drunk and falls, could I get in legal trouble?

You can’t worry about that, dude. It’s really messed up that she feels comfortable hogging all your free time but you need to have a life outside of taking care of her. Even your own mom doesn’t wanna deal with it, and that’s her best friend.

I'll try not to worry about it for now on. It just fucking pisses me off that she started drinking again knowing what it does to her, and what it does to me.

Unfortunately her being selfish and inconsiderate is nothing new. She’s proven time and time again that she doesn’t care about your life she just cares about your company. The only way to stop this is to get yourself out of it. If I recall correctly you have a few options, like your moms offered you to move back, and I think you said your dad (or uncle?) offered for you to live in their trailer and take care of it. So what’s making you stay in this bad situation? Do you just feel guilty?

Yeah I think I feel guilty. Also I just dont want to argue with her.
