So me and this woman are currently dating and everything is going well. We’ve known each other before for 3 years and timing was never right. She has 2 kids; 9 month old and 10 year old with autism. I know it’s hard for him to understand things and communicate with others. I have a speech impediment, I stutter. So I kind of understand and know the feeling of being different, isolated and communicate with others. So I want to connect with him a similar level and for us to get closer. So parents, guardians or whoever has kids with autism or work with, what advice can you give me? I want to learn more about it so I can understand him better and have a good relationship with him. He likes Pokémon, robux and gaming; so that’s something I can play with him and learn more about him. One thing I was told was that I would need to be very patient with him, especially when he has his mood swings or temper tantrums. I want to know him more and be closer to him; I want to be a family with her and the kids
