Probably just the way I was raised. I'm prejudiced against the word trauma. I grew up associateing the word with cop outs and excuses.
So for anyone who feels that way, let's define a trauma as a scar/wound/chip on your shoulder that changes your bearings in life. Leaving out how you decide to react afterwards.
For example, I never really felt like I could trust anybody my whole life and I never loved anyone like I loved my mom as a kid. So a lot of my life has been learning to reconsile those two perspectives I grew up with.
