New fast food job: is it okay to call in sick again so soon?

I started a job in fast food about a month ago. On my third day, I became very ill. Runny nose, sore throat, watery eyes and a cough. Fast forward to now. I have a massive headache. A runny nose, and a lot of mucus in my throat. Im legitimately sick, but I know it will look bad if I call in sick, and ill add extra stress to my co workers, although im pretty sure it would be the right thing to call out sick if its legitimate. What do you think?

Are you sure it’s not just allergies? It is that time of year after all and that’s what your symptoms sound like. In any case, call out if you must but like Abby said, you seem to have an issue every week and it hasn’t even been that long. Obviously no one wants your sick germs, but this doesn’t look good to a manager when you’ve got issues at every turn and so soon in.

I understand that this job is important to you, but you’re asking if your basic needs are okay just because you’re not in a condition to work. You’re not the only human on earth that gets sick. They can understand if you’re not well. Take the sick day. You don’t need to act like everyone already hates you for being alive
