Why is my ex-friend and his family still checking my social media?

After a friendship where I was being used ended badly, I’ve noticed a man who very closely resembles my ex friend on a dating app has tried to friend me with a few profiles; meanwhile, the man who I’ll call Tom (not his real name); and his sister keep looking me up on social media pages.

I’m starting to feel, not upset, but uncomfortable, as I am questioning what they want. Why they’re looking me up.

The correct answer here is that you need to give your mind the ability to create a pathway through your feelings. If you move to the next best thing to soon you won't allow your brain the ability to solve this problem for yourself.

Then if something really does turn sour it will be much more difficult. You need to be comfortable being uncomfortable.

People run away from the uncomfortable far too often. Drinking, sex, drugs... Or anything that distracts from feeling bad. You should take the time to process your feelings. Then start dating.
