If their child grows up (18 to early 20's or older) and really hates college, still into drinking heavily, gets fired from jobs, has strike back the parent as an adult and even openly rejects every single religious values they were taught.
What happens if even being raised old-school didn't work and they're still worse as adults? Would they reach a breaking point by then and throw the towel?

I've only heard the good, successful stories of them growing up with carreers and families (thanking their parents for that) but what about the negative, failed stories? What happens there?

Throw the towel? But uprising is already done when a kid reaches 20yo or even earlier.
There's nothing education related anymore for an adult, they decide for themselves, they live their own lives. Transmission of values has already been done since a long time already. Anyway how parents cared for and loved their kids during childhood and teenage hood, their kids are aware of their own story. Aware, more or less implicitly, of the extent of the failures and shortcomings of their parents.
Just as much as users here reach a breaking point with trolls.
It makes sense. All of us are just humans and there has to be a limit that we can't take it anymore as it would be overwhelming by then and bad for our health.
Hope not. Keep trying.
Up to what point? What to do with a 20+ year-old adult that is still heading the wrong way and hates studying, hates college?
I'd say a short time.
